Corporations are famous for covering their asses.

For example, Apple's Terms of Service are famous for covering their ass.  (If you want to gross yourself out, just watch the South Park episode about accepting Apple's TOS!)

I'll save my "Covering Your Ass" rant for a different day, but quickly,  it's fair to say "cover your ass" moves are a non-human way to handle human affairs.

Today I saw a really ridiculous cover-your-ass move on the YMCA's pool schedule of all places!

Here it is in all its glory:

ymcamn.org/schedules; Subject to change without notice; Multiple activities may occur at once; Not all activities are noted; Ask an Aquatics team member for schedule details

They are literally saying their schedule cannot be trusted!

And further, if we want to see if the pool is open, we need to contact a member of the Aquatics team!

What's the point of publishing a schedule that, by its own admission, cannot be trusted?!

At least someone at the YMCA covered their ass!
